For photometric measurements in areas and spaces where high voltage are present, and in other areas where metallic cables should not be used.
The Hagner SD-14 is a detector employing a non-metallic light-guide designed for photometric measurements in areas and spaces where high voltages are present, and on other areas where metallic cables should not be used.
The unit consists of a detector housing and light-guide of any length required, which is a non-conductor of electricity. The light guide has a high optical transmission, slightly higher in the red than the blue, so that measurements with a precise Vλ (CIE) spectral response can not be performed.
The SD-14 is intended to be used with Hagner photometers E4-X, MCA-1600 or S3 and can be employed to measure or check radiation levels, command alarms, switching functions etc.
The final optical system of the SD-14 can be designed to meet customer requirements.
Light guide lengths of 50 metres have been successfully tested in areas with high voltage switchgears.
